CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®
Investment Representative
Nathan’s passion comes from helping clients plan for today and tomorrow. He believes that a financial plan will help clients “sleep at night” as it identifies the risks and shortfalls that may affect them. With his knowledge and experience, Nathan strives to ensure those risks can be reduced, if not eliminated, through a step-by-step financial planning process. Plans should be as unique as the individuals they encompass. Because of this, Nathan enjoys spending time meeting each prospective client. This way, he can assess their needs and formulate a plan that is best designed to suit them.
Coming from TD Canada Trust, Nathan then transitioned to Freedom 55 Financial, a division of London Life. As the third generation to work with London Life, it was a natural fit for his education, wealth planning and banking background.
Realizing how important education is to his profession, Nathan has dedicated himself to on-going studies, which have included earning designations as a Certified Financial Planner®, an Elder Planning Counselor, and a Certified International Wealth Manager covering Advanced Retirement Management, Advanced Tax and Estate Strategies and Advanced Investment Strategies. Nathan also received his Fellow of CSI, the highest honor in Canadian financial services. This distinction is reserved for a dedicated group of financial professionals who demonstrate leadership, integrity and commitment to their clients and industry. Now, his goal is to complete his CIM® designation.
His membership with ADVOCIS, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, Canadian Initiative for Elder Planning and the Financial Planning Standards Council illustrate his commitment to professionalism and to his clients’ personal and financial security.
Nathan has been married to his wife Sara since 2003. They have two boys, Parker and Evan. He enjoys watching his boys participate in their sporting events but not as much as coaching them to be the next generation of professional athletes or financial planners. When Nathan is not working or attending one of the boy’s activities with his wife, he is often playing golf, hockey or spending time at the lake.
